Senior Consultant – Data & Analytics

We’re on the lookout for a Senior Consultant with strong Data & Analytics experience to join a growing team in Melbourne. To be eligible, you must have full permanent working rights in Australia and a minimum of five years of hands-on industry experience in the data space.
What You’ll Be Doing
✔ Leading Data Solutions – Working closely with clients to design and implement analytics strategies tailored to their business needs.
✔ Developing Scalable Data Models – Building and optimising data models that enhance decision-making and operational efficiency.
✔ Driving Data Transformations – Leveraging SQL-based tools like dbt and Coalesce to structure and refine datasets.
✔ Managing Data Pipelines – Overseeing ETL/ELT processes to transform raw data into actionable insights.
✔ Delivering Business Intelligence – Integrating and managing tools like Power BI, Tableau, and Looker to enable effective reporting.
✔ Ensuring Data Integrity – Implementing governance frameworks to maintain accuracy, security, and quality.
✔ Collaborating Across Teams – Partnering with data engineers, analysts, and business leaders to embed data-driven decision-making.
✔ Mentoring & Development – Supporting junior team members and contributing to the ongoing growth of the organisation.
What You Bring to the Table
- Advanced SQL skills(5+ years) – ability to write complex queries, manage large datasets, and optimise performance.
- Strong expertise in cloud-based data platforms such as Snowflake, BigQuery, Fabric, or Databricks.
- Proficiency in ETL/ELT processes and modern transformation tools ( dbt, Coalesce).
- Experience creating impactful data visualisations using tools like Power BI, Tableau, or Looker.
- Excellent communication skills – able to translate technical concepts for non-technical audiences.
- A track record of delivering data-driven solutions that provide tangible business value.
Nice-to-Have Skills
- Experience with machine learning or advanced analytics techniques.
- A passion for data storytelling, making insights accessible and engaging.
- Strong understanding of data governance to ensure compliance and quality.

Qualifications & Eligibility
- Must hold permanent work rights in Australia(citizen, PR, or permanent visa).
- A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Applied Mathematics, Engineering, or equivalent industry experience.
